America's Comedian

They call the Dallas Cowboys "Americas Team." It's a nickname that stuck in the 1970s because of the huge fan base that the Texas football team was able to garner from its winning ways and exciting plays.

When it comes to standup comedy, Johnny Watson may be "Americas Comedian." Why such a big nickname for a comedian?

Just ask some of the many comedians and club bookers that have worked with this talented New Jersey Native. "Johnny Watson always makes me laugh," says comedy star Adam Ferrara of HBO and Comedy Central fame.

The word "Always" is a big word in comedy and only the great ones who constitute consistency and professionalism achieve that tag. "Johnny always gets the job done, regardless of the size of the crowd or the venue.

He is money in the bank every time," exclaims Gordon Mills, who is the owner of the Comedy Nest in Montreal, Canada. Bob Fisher, owner of the Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena,

CA. remembers Johnny when he was performing in California. "I don't think I ever met a guy who was more consistent and professional than Johnny Watson. He was always on time and always delivered on stage," says Fisher.
